First I must apologize to David, for not posting this much sooner.

David was honored as Amvets Department of Michigan AMVET OF THE YEAR at the Department of Michigan Convention Banquet, held June 9, 2018 in Grand Rapids MI. He was unable to attend, so I accepted the award on his behalf.

I present the award to him at the monthly Riders Chapter 4250 meeting.

David truly deserves to be the AMVET OF THE YEAR for the State of Michigan. His work on the Post's Wheelchair Challenge still amazes me. As 2017-2018 Post Commander David I found that David is always a "go to" guy if you have a project that needs high energy. You don't have to spend much time talking to him to know that he has big heart and true compassion for Disabled Veterans.

Congratulations David Reese, Amvets Department of Michigan AMVET OF THE YEAR, 2017-2018
