Welcome to AMVETS Post 4250

Chartered April 25, 2014, we are a fairly new Post looking for local veterans or active duty personnel who want to make new friends and help make a difference for other fellow veterans and their families. We are located within VFW Post 4249 which is one mile south of Newaygo, Michigan city limits. Come join us.

AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary

Membership in AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary is open to the mothers, wives, widows, grandmothers, sisters, daughters and granddaughters of AMVETS and female veterans who are currently serving or who have honorably served in the Armed Forces of the United States, including the National Guard and Reserve components, anytime after September 15, 1940.

AMVETS Mission Statement

To enhance and safeguard the entitlements for all American Veterans who have served honorably and to improve the quality of life for them, their families and the communities where they live through leadership, advocacy and services.

Amvets Post 4250

As one of America’s leading veterans service organizations with over 250,000 members, AMVETS (or American Veterans) has a proud history of assisting veterans and sponsoring numerous programs that serve our country and its citizens. Membership in AMVETS is open to anyone who is currently serving, or who has honorably served, in the U.S. Armed Forces from World War II to the present, to include the National Guard and Reserves.

Happy 2018 to all from us to you. The regular monthly steak fry is this Saturday from 5 - 7 p.m..It is the AMVETS Riders hosting this month. As always it is followed by music and dancing from 7 - 9:30, with the Country Horizons.

Then in two weeks, on Jan. 27 we resume with our Burrito night. from 5 -7 p.m. That also is followed music and dancing from 7 - 9:30, with Steve Edge.

We are also looking forward another Cornhole Tournament. Mark Saturday, March 3 on your calendar. Further details will be announced closer to the event

Great turn out yesterday at our formal presentation of the chairs. Post 4250, Riders Chapter 4250, and VFW Post 4249 were all well represented. TV 8 was there and has a nice write up on their website at http://woodtv.com/2017/12/14/vets-surprised-with-special-wheelchairs-for-christmas/

They did make one mistake though. Their link to our AMVETS website actually goes to VFW4249.org.

Those that wish to attend our presentation of the
Rock-King Wheelchairs at Grand Rapids Home for Veterans tomorrow can meet at the Post at 9 a.m. The actual ceremony is at 10:30 a.m. for those that wish to attend.
